BRIEF

Infuse Pitt St Mall with lively energy, excitement, and vibrancy to entice CBD workers, locals, tourists, and residents of Greater Sydney to explore the Sydney CBD. Highlight the city’s diverse offerings, from exceptional dining and live music to contemporary art, fresh food, and family-friendly entertainment, both during the day and into the night.

RESPONSE

Leveraging our local artist network, we brought Pitt St Mall to life with aviary-inspired neon installations, featuring animatronic peacocks, cockatoos, and parrots. The vibrant marquee showcased a dynamic day-to-night transition through soundscapes and lighting. This creative direction influenced our brand lockup, including a lively color palette, unique bird graphics, and a custom campaign logo. The brand guidelines ensured consistency across signage, marketing, and promotions.

Complementing the impactful artwork were 20 customized picnic tables, glowing furniture, and a feathered swing for photo opportunities, creating a colorful jungle-like atmosphere. A captivating parade, followed by roving entertainers, stilt-walkers, LED jugglers, and roller skaters, marked the program’s kickoff. Launch weekend featured a family-friendly Easter movie night under the stars with bean bag chairs, movie snacked giveaways and themed entertainers.

Throughout the week, the marquee hosted office worker-oriented workshops like sound therapy, stretching, and origami for relaxation. Families enjoyed the space during evenings and weekends, with kids’ entertainers, giveaways, and craft workshops. Live bands, roving musicians, and a community piano painted with a jungle theme added a lively musical touch. Local muralists painted four sides of our custom-built art cube, with visitors participating through a QR code to vote for their favorite mural. The campaign significantly increased Pitt St Mall visitation, garnering positive feedback and prompting a return for a second iteration just six months later.
